William Shakespeare was yesterday (thurs) named the nation's Greatest National Treasure.
The Bard, famous for writing classic plays including Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth, beat the Queen's London home, Buckingham Palace, to the top spot.
Third place in the poll of 1,000 adults went to the traditional seaside dish of fish and chips, followed by Big Ben.
London's iconic red telephone boxes came fifth.
And as Murray-mania sweeps the nation, Wimbledon was the highest British sporting event to feature in the poll after being voted into 15th place.
The competition's traditional snack of strawberries and cream was also named as one of the country's national treasures, coming in at number 24.
Yesterday, a spokesman for Mivvi, said: ''Wimbledon has been going for over a century, yet is still as popular as ever and the highlight of Britain's sporting calendar.
''So it's not surprising the competition's signature dish of strawberries and cream also features in the poll - Wimbledon simply wouldn't be British without the summer food.''
Several British personalities featured highly in the poll, with the Queen at number nine and The Beatles at 15.
And Wimbledon wasn't the only British sporting event, with the cricket coming 26th, the classic Cambridge and Oxford boat race at 28 and The Grand National at 38.
Famous British fare featuring in the poll include a nice cup of tea which was number six, Sunday roast at number 20, bangers and mash at 36 and a greasy fry up at 46.
A spokesman added: ''British fare is more popular than ever at the moment, with the nation tucking into strawberries and cream whilst we remain gripped with Wimbledon.
''Tennis fans who can't get enough of this traditional summer dish should look to Mivvi for an iced alternative.''
