Sixties icon Twiggy is to become the new face of Olay - almost 25 years after she first starred in a TV ad campaign for the brand.
Twiggy, dubbed the world's first supermodel, fronted ads for Olay back in 1985.
Now three months before her 60th birthday she has agreed to return to the beauty giant to front a 12-month magazine ad campaign for Olay Definity.
Twiggy said: ''I am delighted to be fronting the new advertising campaign for Olay Definity - like many women I trust Olay to meet my specific skincare needs.''
Sarah Clark, spokesperson for Olay Definity, said: ''We were thrilled to welcome Twiggy back to the brand.
''She is a true beauty Icon who continues to be an inspiration to millions of women across the UK.''
Twiggy was plucked from obscurity as a 16-year-old when she was spotted in 1966 by modeling boss Nigel Davies.
At the time her waif-like look proved an immediate hit with the British public.
Within weeks she became the 'Face of 66' and a year later pictures of Twiggy, complete with boyish haircut and long eyelashes, adorned billboards in New York.
As her stock rose further she embarked on a hugely successful acting career which saw her pick up two Golden Globes for her part in Ken Russell's 1971 film version of Sandy Wilson's musical, The Boy Friend.
Twiggy - real name Lesley Hornby - also released a string of hit albums after launching her pop career in 1976.
She joined Olay in 1985 and worked for the company for 12 months.
After leaving she returned to her acting career and starred in television programs and films on both sides of the Atlantic.
Twiggy is still a well-respected figure in the worlds of music, acting and fashion.
That was confirmed in 2005 when she was chosen as a judge on the reality TV show America's Next Top Model.
