Jesus Christ is the dead person most Brits would love to meet, a study revealed yesterday (Sun).
One in three of the 3,000 people polled picked the son of God. Princess Diana, who was killed in a car crash in 1997, was second.
Poet and playwright William Shakespeare, who died in April 1616, was third. Albert Einstein was fourth and Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe was fifth.
The poll of 3,000 people was conducted to launch Primeval Series 3 on DVD.
A spokesman for Primeval 3 said: ''These results show that Jesus Christ will always be the British Public's 'Superstar'.
''But we were fully expecting Princess Diana to top the poll as she won the hearts of the nation and no-one has ever really forgotten her place within the Royal family or the impact she made on ordinary people.
''And in terms of visiting decades, it's not really surprising that coming face to face with a prehistoric dinosaur isn't too appealing - no doubt its better to experience it on your sofa with a screen between you and the creature.''
A quarter of Brits said they would like to meet Shakespeare - the greatest writer in the English language - who penned Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo Juliet, Hamlet and Twelfth Night.
Twenty three per cent of Brits would like to meet the physicist is probably best known for his theory of relativity.
Screen goddess was as famous for her alluring beauty as for her blockbuster films Some Like It Hot and Gentleman Prefer Blondes.
The actress died at the tender age of 36 in her sleep after falling into a coma from a drug overdose in 1962.
Artist Leonardo da Vinci, best known for the Mona Lisa, took sixth place. And Elvis Presley - otherwise known as 'The King' - was seventh in place.
Author Roald Dahl, singer and entertainer Freddie Mercury and activist Martin Luther King complete the top ten.
The poll also revealed which decade Brits would most like to visit if given the chance.
A fifth of respondents would like to visit Victorian Britain, whilst 18 per cent would be interested in seeing Britain post-war.
Only 10 per cent would be happy visiting pre-historic Britain.
Jade Goody appeared in 44th place with 5.5 per cent of the votes.
