Having lunch with friends is life's greatest little pleasure, a poll revealed yesterday (Thur).
A meal with mates came top of the survey of 3,000 Brits to reveal the moments we treasure most.
The feeling of getting into bed made with freshly-washed sheets came second, followed by cuddling up to your partner in the sack.
Treating yourself to your favourite takeaway meal was at number four in the poll while laughing hard was fifth.
Kate Johnston, Marketing Manager for face masque company Montagne Jeunesse, which commissioned the research said: ''We all lead such fast paced isolated lives these days so to take some time out and have a long lunch with friends is the ultimate little pleasure.
''Being in bed seems to feature highly too, with sliding into freshly washed sheets, having a lie-in and cuddling your partner in bed all appearing in the poll.
''Food is also associated with indulgence and having a takeaway, eating a Sunday roast and munching through a secret chocolate stash all score highly in the top twenty.''
Having a lie-in and knowing you don't have to get up was sixth while making someone smile was seventh.
Finding cash was eighth followed by sitting in a pub with friends. Relaxing on a beach with a book or listening to music completed the top ten.
