SNOW DAY
NEWS COPY
Millions of Brits threw fake snow days this week - just to get time off work, a survey revealed yesterday (tues).
A poll of 2,000 workers discovered that a cheeky 12 per cent made the most of the travel chaos and pretended they were unable to get into work because of the snow.
And another 18 per cent admitted they thought about it but decided not to.
A spokesman for www.onepoll.com said: ''While many people really were unable to travel in due to the snow, some obviously saw it as good excuse to get an impromptu day off.
''Let's just hope their bosses don't find out they were making it up.''
The poll revealed that 28 per cent of workers stayed at home as the country was hit by the worst snow for 18 years.
But while some did work from the comfort of their home, a quarter admitted they played in the snow with the kids, while another 27 per cent used it as an excuse to catch up on the chores.
Almost 22 per cent spend the time off watching daytime television.
